Okay ladies so what is the first thing we do when we get home after a long day? Besides pouring yourself a glass of wine. That's right, you take off your clothes and you get into something comfy. Do you often cancel plans all because getting dressed in confining clothes seems like a hassle and too much effort? Well here is the solution, the "no pants trend."
We have been seeing the trend of wearing no pants with oversized shirts, blazers, and jackets since about 2016. I know this is a bold fashion choice, but I decided to try out this new take on the mini. To my surprise I not only pulled off this trend, but I felt good doing it.

Here is my full look. Now, I know what your thinking; when in the world would I wear this outfit? Of course, you probably won't wear this going to grab your morning Starbucks or getting brunch with friends. I would say this outfit is best for going out for a night on the town. That's why I decided to post this OOTD on Saturday. Hopefully it will give you ladies some inspiration and a little courage too.
My blazer is from Misha Nonoo and it's called the Florence Blazer Dress. I had to be very careful when picking out the top to wear for this look. You have to make sure your covering all your assets. The blazer from Misha Nonoo was perfect, it's oversized and long enough.
Looking for a more affordable look for you guys was a little difficult. I wanted to stick with the blazer. I know some celebrities have been seen wearing XXL hoodies or T-shitrs, but the blazer is definitely the way to go with this look. The closest match was this black blazer from Topshop.
The shoes should really be the focus of attention with this outfit. The knee high suede boots I'm wearing are called The Alljack Boot from Stuart Weitzman. Right now they are on sale for an exceptional price of $383, originally they were priced at $765.
A similar choice would be the Steve Madden Gorgeous Knee Boot for only $99. The boots are very similar, except the Steve Madden's heel is a little bit higher than mine. But a couple more inches never hurt anyone.
The bag I'm carrying is a snake skin Prada with a chain link strap. That specific bag is no longer available. This Kate Spade emerson snake-embossed caterina bag is a close match. Or, you could go with this very affordable Multi Chain Strap Shoulder Bag from Express, for $29.99 marked down from $49.90.
The jewelry I decided to wear are all edgy but classic pieces at the same time. All the jewelry I'm wearing is unfortunately not available, but you can get some of them custom made. I will give you a break down of the specific designers and similar options you can choose from.
My earrings are simple diamond studs. I have had my studs for over 10 years and wear them almost every day. The ones I am wearing are a round diamond set in platinum.
Here are a few price points including real diamonds to CZ's.
These real diamond studs from Forevermar.
A great alternative are these square studs for $32.
My choker is from the designer Gellner, which I bought a few years back at Von Bargens Jewelry in Burlington. This Silver-Tone Black Leather Crystal Choker Necklace from Macy's is essentially the same style for a great price.
The long chain necklace I'm wearing is a David Yurman, his Belmont Curb Link Four Station Chain Necklace with Black Onyx a close match.
Finally, the cuff earring is Paul Morelli, which you can scroll to see it up close. This Black Fitzgerald Block Ear Cuff in Silver is a perfect and affordable option.
So how did I feel trying something so out of my comfort zone? Pretty good, actually. I would say if you are in my age group you need to make sure everything fits perfectly. You should feel comfortable and at ease wearing a look like this. You could even put on a pair of black tights and a flat to make it more wearable. This is a good time to point out that it's best to have a great tailor who can tweak an outfit to fit you and make it perfect.
Happy Friday Everyone!!!
This weekend I'm sure many of you will be enjoying the summer weather. Maybe you're attending a BBQ or going out for drinks with friends. Whatever you're up to, here is the perfect outfit for any summer event. It's refined, but not too overdressed. Comfortable and easy to throw on. All while still looking like you put thought into it.

To start off, the top and skirt are both from J.Crew. I have always loved everything about J.Crew with their fun pops of color and classic pieces that will last you forever. Not only do they make quality clothing, but their accessories are always on trend. Wearing J.Crew clothes you will always look effortlessly stylish.
The gingham tulle skirt has been so popular that it is actually sold out. They may restock it before the end of the season. Just in case they don't, J.Crew's embroidered pineapple midi skirt is a close match to the one I'm wearing.
The shirt is a cotton button down with a fun tie-front. It adds a little twist to an otherwise very simple look. Both items are currently on sale, so get them while they're still available!
My cat-eye sunglasses are called the Durante from Raen. They are a California company that makes beautiful sunglasses for both men and women at an affordable price. Plus, their sales are amazing! You can wear these sunglasses with any outfit, and they will always make you feel fierce.
My earrings are called the Lagrange ball clip from Paul Morelli. These earrings are exquisite! Set with blue aquamarines and white brilliant diamonds.
If you want a similar earring for a more affordable price these Pavé crystal studs from Nordstrom are the way to go!
Both rings are from the wonderful Ferro Jewelers located in Stowe & Woodstock Vermont!

Spring & Summer of 2018 is all about prints, specifically palm or tropical-like patterns. What could be more fun than that? It's a fresh look, with an eye-catching color scheme. Not only are we seeing the palm print in fashion, but the trend extends to home decor and interior design.
With this outfit my whole look is centered around this amazing palm print duster from the Rachel Zoe Box of Style | Spring 2018. This item is not for sale by itself. I'm a subscriber to her Box of Style, and I highly suggest everyone subscribe. It always comes with some great finds.

With such a strong print you have to wear neutrals, so as to not overwhelm the whole look. The shirt I'm wearing is just a basic white-t from Amazon. It's a really soft and casual short sleeve v-neck shirt for a very reasonable price for $13.99.
The pants I'm wearing are called "Just Float On Flare Jean" from Free People. It's a 60's inspired jean, that brings me back. I love the high waisted style of these pants, and the stretch fabric makes them so comfortable I could wear them all day. The bottom of the jean is a distressed kind of trim giving the jean a little more of an edgy look. These jeans come in a variety of colors, so the outfit options are endless.
Since I'm 5'3 the pants are a bit long on me, so I have to wear a high heel or platform with these jeans. My shoes are "The Zappa" from M. Gemi. They are currently sold out on their website, but there is a waitlist that M. Gemi usually fills quickly.
The bag I'm carrying is Gucci. I bought the bag several years ago, and it is no longer available. Since the Gucci bag was so unique the similar options aren't exactly alike.
Here is a straw tote that is fairly priced from NET-A-PORTER. It is a lightweight Caba straw tote. The bag is great for everyday casual wear or even for beach days.
Free People has this fun Marrakesh Straw Tote with long leather straps. At first glance it might look like a bag that only hipsters would wear, but with the right outfit it could really be a good look.
Every woman needs a little black dress in her closet, it's essential! The one I'm wearing is form fitting with a low cut back. The dress itself is so simplistic I really like to dress it up with jewelry.
The jewelry really steals the show with this outfit. The necklace, courtesy of Ferro Jewelers, located on 91S Main Street in Stowe, VT, is a one of a kind piece of jewelry. An up close look at the necklace you will see a gold lariat chain with two lion heads set with sapphires, rubies, and diamonds. It's not just a statement piece, but a work of art on its own. Ferro Jewelers specializes in custom and estate jewelry, so the pieces you find there are so unique and unlike anything else in the current market.
Now here is my #OOTD! With the brands and links of where to find the same look.
The dress I'm wearing is from Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's clothing line, The Row. I bought my dress a few seasons ago, so this dress is no longer available.
A similar choice would be the Lulus Exclusive Bateau-n Rouge Black Backless Dress, for only $41.
My shoes are a simple black pump from Dior. The Stuart Weitzman Legendhalo Black Patent Leather High Heel is essentially the same style.
A more affordable option is the Massimo Matteo Pointy Toe Pump, currently being sold for $105 on Zappos. On a real note a black pump is a black pump. You don't have to be wearing a designer shoe to get the same look.
Last, but not least, my earrings are Paul Morelli, which I'm seen wearing in my last post. The yellow gemstones match the necklace, and pulls the whole outfit together.
These Kate Spade, Save the Date Graduated Ear Pins for $58, are a similar style with the earring cascading up the ear lobe.
Want to look and feel like a boss lady? No question, this outfit will do the job. It might seem like this look is too dressed up for everyday wear or even for work, but it's actually just a combination of simple and elegant pieces.
Here is my #OOTD! With the brands and links of where to find the same look.
To start, this White Tie-Neck Belle Blouse is from Misha Nonoo. I just purchased this blouse, but it will definitely be a staple in my wardrobe for years. It's a classic piece with breathable material. The flowy and fun style makes this top comfortable to wear throughout the day! Also, you can play around with the tie-neck accent. Tie it into a bow for a more feminine look, or just let them hang like I did. The front of the blouse looks formal, but the pleated back is what really makes this top so versatile.
The black leather skirt I am wearing is from J.Crew, which is unfortunately out of stock. If you want a similar skirt from J.Crew here is the Collection Leather Skirt, currently on sale.
The shoes are Giuseppe Zanotti with a platform pump and tortoise shell 4" heel. Since I bought them several years ago I could not find the same shoe online.
If you want a Giuseppe shoe with the same style, the Selina Black Patent Leather Open-Toe Pump is very similar. The only difference is the heel.
Also, these Michael Kors Erika Platform Shoes are a great alternative for a more affordable price.
Now for the main attraction ~ The Prada Pyramid Bag, no longer available online. The Prada Promenade Saffiano Leather Bag, is essentially the same bag with some minor differences in design. This bag screams sophistication! It's perfect for every season and will never go out of style.
Of course, not everyone has the budget to splurge on a Prada Bag. A more affordable choice is Cuyana Top-Handle Structure Bag for $375.
An option that won't break anyones wallet is the Dreubea Women's Leather Handbag Tote Shoulder Bag Crossbody Purse found on Amazon at the reasonable price of $23.29. It is a structured leather bag with similar features to the Prada.
